The Record 618 is an apparatus used
for hair removal and other skin treatments. The
Record was developed by Active, incorporating
knowledge and experience of more than 25 years in
the market and awareness to the growing need to
improve profitability, safety and client
satisfaction.
The
Record 618 is different from other IPL machines and based upon
Active's patented GEM technology (Geometrical energy
management) The Record's GEM technology is a unique way to
deliver energy to a predetermined target. Unlike other IPL's
and lasers where the energy is scattered
on the skin the GEM technology manages to concentrate the bulk
of the energy in a geometrical plane positioned under the
skin. This precise positing enables a selective targeting of
hair follicles, pigments vascular lesions, acne, etc.
Due to
the concentration of the energy there is no need to overload
the skin with excessive energy like in many other systems.
This makes the treatment efficient but at the same time
painless and gentle to the skin.
Active's GEM technology is different from Laser technology.
The Laser technology operates on extremely condensed narrow
beam that must deliver a lot of energy within a short time.
The Laser technology, naturally, heats the surface of the skin
up to700 c, when activated, and can cause unwanted burns and
pigmentation if not used very carefully. Several tests for
pigmentation must be performed before an actual treatment with
a Laser.
In
Active's GEM technology, the energy is distributed equally of a
large area and temperature on the skin can be 70c at most.
This relatively low treatment temperature allows deep
penetration of the light into the skin with no damage on top of
it. The result is a superb hair removal treatment.
The
Record 618 is computer controlled and has 12 operating programs.
The setup information is displayed on a front panel screen. The
changes are achieved by 3 push buttons. The inlets and outlets
are used for external accessories. A Foot pedal is used for
operation. The light source is connected to the main unit by a
flexible cord. Coagulation intensity can be changed by two
buttons UP- DOWN on the front panel.
